Who we are

Cringe LTD makes Timerless and is responsible for your data (the “controller”). We’re a company registered in England and Wales, number 17216868, at 23 Atwood Road, London W6 0HX. Email support@cringeapp.ai about anything in this notice.

The app: your activity stays on your Mac

The app records which app is in front, the website’s domain, the window title and when you’re away. It keeps that on your Mac and deletes raw activity after 30 days. It never takes screenshots or records keystrokes, and it never reads the text of your emails. We don’t receive any of it: there’s no account and no Timerless server.

The app connects to other services only for things you set up or click:

• Update checks to updates.timerless.com, every few hours. Like any web request, this shows your IP address and app version to our host, Cloudflare.
• Your email (Gmail), if you connect it: it reads who, subject and date, and sends invoices, reminders and updates when you click Send.
• Your calendar, if you give it a private calendar address.
• FreeAgent or Xero, if you connect them, to send them your invoices.
• Time-stamps for verified hours, only if you switch them on: a fingerprint of your approved days goes to freetsa.org, never the hours themselves.

AI sorting is off by default. In the app, it can use a model running on your own Mac.

The website

When you join the waitlist or the pilot we store your email address, your answers (what you do, how many clients, how you bill, your computer), which boxes you ticked, the date, and where you came from if the link said so (for example, a post on LinkedIn).

• We use it to email you about what you ticked: when Timerless is ready, or to set up the pilot. Your answers tell us who Timerless suits.
• Our lawful basis is your consent, given by ticking the box. You can withdraw it any time by replying to any email or writing to us.
• We keep it until you ask us to remove it, and for two years at most.
• We never sell it or share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Visits are counted with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn’t follow you to other sites. This site sets no cookies at all.

Our host, Cloudflare, Inc., runs the website and stores the waitlist for us under its data processing terms. It handles your IP address to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks. Its servers can be outside the UK; those transfers are covered by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Email support@cringeapp.ai and we’ll answer within a month.

If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
